Hi, Here's a patch that implements UID logging for locally generated packets.
Patched userspace will continue to work with a patched kernel and vice versa (but the UID-logging will of course not work). But a patched userspace will fail to compile against an unpatched kernel. This is noted in the help-file. It's easy to fix it the same way the owner-cmd patch did it but just adding a few #ifdefs. This patch alters the logformat by appending UID=<number> at the end if the packet is locally generated. Please apply if you find it useful (I hacked it together when a person asked for this functionality in #iptables on EFnet) -- /Martin Never argue with an idiot.
