I would like to add the h.323 protocol support, as well as possibly some
others into my 2.4.18 kernel. I have never messed with the iptables
source directly (as in, I have always used what came with the kernel),
so I was wondering if someone could either give me some pointers or
direct me to better documentation than that given in the INSTALL file.

First of all, is the only thing I really need to do with kernel 2.4.18
is to do the "make pending-patches"? If so or no, this requires a
kernel recompile afterwards correct? And if I don't need to do this,
what exactly does the make, make install do? Does it patch the kernel,
or simply do something else?

Next, I need to compile the support found in the patch-o-matic stuff,
but I read that some if not all of them may conflict with each other.
Is there a known list in 1.2.6 of which of these conflict, or does
anyone have any experience with this?

I only see basically what looks like the h.323 support and talk (what is
talk?). This newnat stuff, can someone explain this a little more,
like, is this a new nating subsystem or no?

Sorry for so many questions, but I really need some help on this.
Muchas gracias in advance.
