Hi
I see all kind of postings about win32 VPN servers behind an iptables
firewall, so I suspect this will work.
Yesterday we already figured out my problem with the portmapping etc.
I need to be able to have multiple client connecting to my MS-VPN box
through an iptables firewall. From the stories I read it should be as
simple as forwarding tcp port 1723 and protocol 47; does this allow for
more than 1 client to connect?# behind my fw i made 3 connections outside so yes i guess it allows you to have multiple connections. The problems i read are when then firewall is just in front of the ms-vpn server, then it might alloow just one connection (for the moment)
I was wondering because I read about problems regarding pptp_natn, but I
assume this is just the other way around (multiple clients connecting from
inside ipt-fw to same remote host).
Since we have some spare IP numbers, could it be easier to just map one of
these external IP's to the VPN box (blocking some obvious ports of course)?
And if so, how do I do this? DNAT, SNAT, REDIRECT, NETMAP?
Best regards,
