Unfortunately like any other firewall solution it all depends - which of
those services are in front of or behind the firewall, which need
specific ports or protocols allowed, etc.  A good start is the IPTables
tutorial by Oskar Andreasson (sp?)

Another decent start is the Linux Firewalls book by O'reilly (?)

I have had very good luck with Oskar's tutorial - he has good comments
and an example script...
