If you make that change and it breaks, it would probably be because there's some code in `setup` (directly or indirectly) that attempts to read the tick counter. (Accessing the tick counter before it has been reset causes a runtime error, rather than reporting 0 as it did in older NetLogos.) I can't think of any other reason it would break.
