I /am /able to reproduce that behavior with the model from the NetLogo
Community Models. We'll look into this and fix it so that the message
can be seen.

I have a NetLogo model I'd like to run in NetLogo Web. It works fine
in standalone NetLogo. When I try to load it into NetLogo Web,
there's an error message that flashes in the browser window for a
split second, and then it disappears. Then in the place where the
model window would open, there's just a black dot (a few pixels wide)
in the center of the light blue box under the Models Library and
Upload a Model dropdowns.
I didn't write this model. (It's the Evolution of Agression model on
the main website, originally for NetLogo 4.1, but I made the obvious
minor modification to setup for NetLogo 5.) However, skimming the code
and looking at what the model does, it seems like it's just using core
functionality.
I tried downloading one of the NLW Models Library models, and then
uploading it in the same way, and that works perfectly.
Any suggestions about how to either see the error message or otherwise
debugging in order to figure out why this model won't run in NLW?
Given that the model only has to do normal NetLogo-ey things, I ought
to be able to fix it to run in NLW, if I knew where to start.
Thanks-
Marshall
