We are using both Microns and Gateways here (@ NASA) with the Logitech USB
w/o any sign of a problem.

Any chance this is a USB camera? I had similar problems on a Compaq
5304
with a USB camera. After surfing web pages for USB forum,
Netmeeting,
Compaq, and Intel (the camera maker), I gave the computer back to
Staples
and got another (different brand). There is rumor that some
chipsets and
USB simply can't handle camera input, but I cannot verify this.
