To all: I'm not yet a user of netmeeting and I'm wondering if it can do any or all of the following: I'm looking for a product or combination of products (possibly involving netmeeting) that can record a telephone conversation and simultaneously record and combine it with PC video (the normal screen image, not a PC camera image) such as a normal surf session (no collaboration necessary) into an Mpeg file (or whatever format) which can then be put into email and mailed to the customer. To give you a better idea of what I'm getting at here let me explain how I would actually expect to make use of this. I sometimes have customers or potential customers that call me and ask questions regarding the capabilities of certain software products or even how to do certain procedure in a product they already have. I often find myself opening up the program (or website in some cases) and relaying them the relevant information verbally. It would be nice if I could record this session (usually less than five minutes) along with our voices and email it to the customer (assuming he/she has the bandwith). >From what I've been able to gather it seems the main complications are the following: 1) Incorporating a POTS (plain old telephone system) line into my PC. (I have found a product that does this but it only is able to create wav files, ie. unified messaging voicemail files.) 2) Recording screen video rather than PC camera video. Can netmeeting do this? 3) Achieving 1 and 2 above such that they result in a combined video, voice file. Any and all suggestions are welcomed.
