My problem though, is that I want to allow the user to input the
e-mail address.  They need to be able to do that, with the  ILS server
specified somehow in the code (is so they don't have to worry about
it).

Any ideas?

Yes. In the HTML code you'll find the callto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
command. Change that to callto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
(so the
syntax is name of the ils server to which the callee is connected, /
(forward slash), person's e-mail address.
