All ILS servers are 3rd party and with waning interest in NetMeeting even those still in operation often provide sporadic service. Many users do not use ILS servers at all as a consequence. http://www.netmeetinghq.com has a list of usually operating servers -- probably the best place to look. > > 2. I've tried yahoo & MSN but they are very stilted. > There is no direct replacement from Microsoft. MSN/Windows Messenger offer some of the same features. LiveMeeting (www.livemeeting.com) is a Microsoft owned service for data sharing ( with some audio capability). Microsoft Research has a couple of products that have similar characteristics to NetMeeting -- Portrait(I am not sure if it is active as a project) -- designed for low end devices ( like Pocket PCs) and Conference XP designed for high speed (Internet 2) networks. Neither of the Microsoft Research programs are in general distribution though. Yahoo!
