Hi all, We've been having weekly calls to progress the YANG versioning work, with an initial focus on these two drafts:
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-netmod-yang-module-versioning/ https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-netmod-yang-semver/ In next week's meeting (Tues June 23, 9am EDT) we'd like to discuss the use of YANG semver (the modified semver) in IETF modules. The authors of the versioning drafts are in favor of using YANG semver for IETF modules. We believe there is a lot of value for consumers of the models to have a quick way of understanding if two versions of a module are "compatible" vs "may not be compatible". It would be really useful to discuss concerns, alternatives, etc on a live call. If you have an opinion on it, please consider joining.
