YANG Versioning Weekly Call Minutes - 2021-11-30 Should we issue a new YANG Semver v06 for the additional text I proposed for issue #84 ? Answer: yes. Joe to issue v-06 of Semver and Jason to suggest chairs to go for WG LC in early Jan. Authors have reviewed & think they are done, and so does the weekly call group.
Issue #65: IETF must use Semver for packages, packages for all other orgs should use a revision-label. Balasz to update proposed text. New issue (Bo): use "version" for packages everywhere in the draft, not "revision" (but keep "revision" for modules). Note that packages will still use a "revision-label" and a "revision-label-scheme". Issue #74: - no need for precedence (conflict resolution for differnet module versions is already covered) - circular includes in packages is already issue #64 - new subsection in 5.2 that points back to yang semver (for pre-release). If using YANG semver. Otherwise the scheme should define what to do.
