Hello Chairs,

I am writing on behalf of the co-authors of network inventory draft. We
consider that this draft is ready for working group adoption based on the
reasons below:
1) The objective of the draft has been clarified and the YANG data model
structure is now stable. The draft main objective is to provide a technology
agnostic data model of hardware management, mostly based on RFC8348, applicable
to Optical, IP and MW networks, at domain controller's northbound, which will
enable the operators to manage their physical network resources in a standard
way (e.g. for network planning, auditing etc.). Current focus is on the YANG
data model itself while the scalability concerns for big networks mentioned in
section 2.2 should be resolved at protocol level (e.g. RESTCONF) and be
considered as outside the scope of this draft.
2) This draft is widely supported. The authors and contributors include
world-wide known operators, like Vodafone, China Unicom, Telecom Italia Group
(TIM), and vendors like Huawei, Nokia and Cisco.
3) The question about which WG this draft should belong to has been
discussed multiple times with CCAMP, NETMOD and OPSAWG WGs. We have proposed to
progress with this draft within CCAMP WG keeping the NETMOD WG and OPSAWG
informed about its progress and we have got no objections, so we believe we can
follow this approach.

Therefore, we would like to ask CCAMP WG chairs to start WG adoption for this
draft, keeping NETMOD WG and OPSAWG informed.
If there are any doubts or concerns about adopting our draft, we are available
for any clarification.

B.R.
Chaode
