I don't think so. Immutable leafs aren't intended to be editable at some point, 
and then later (based on state) suddenly immutable. At the interim we discussed 
that the immutable property must only change due to a s/w upgrade or maybe 
adding a s/w license.

Maybe others on the list can chime in with their own examples, but one that I 
can think of is this:
- schema for a router has a list of qos policies
- the <system> DS has a built in qos policy called "basic-qos-policy"
- the cir leaf for queue 1 in the policy has a value of 0, and that cir leaf is 
"immutable true".  i.e. a user can reference "basic-qos-policy" if they want to 
for some interface, but queue 1 would always have a committed information rate 
of 0 (i.e. queue 1 is the "best effort" queue).
