This looks great Gary. One comment: If the libvirt VIF type is set to "bridge" and you are using the LibvirtOpenVswitchVirtualPortDriver libvirt VIF driver, the VIFs are created by libvirt dynamically, and will be of the form "vnetN" instead of "tap<UUID>". We need to keep that in mind here, although I don't think it affects the proposal that much.
