Hi folks, As we close in on the F-2 milestone release (milestone-proposed branch point is tuesday night), I'd like to encourage people to focus on our primary goal for F-2, which is to support a basic working Nova + Quantum setup with the v2 API.
Outstanding items that are critical to this goal are: 1) Nova/Quantum v2 Integration: https://review.openstack.org/#/c/8916/ (note: this is a review in Nova, not Quantum) 2) v2 reviews for open source plugins: https://review.openstack.org/#/c/9160/ (OVS) and https://review.openstack.org/#/c/9101/ (LB) 3) DHCP support: https://review.openstack.org/#/c/9064/ If there are minor issues that appear during review, please consider filing them as separate bugs, rather than delaying the review in a way that might cause it to miss the Tuesday cut-off. I think we're pretty close on #2, for both plugins. #1 has received a lot of iterations, and some Nova core devs have promised to look at it today. #1 is also hung up on an odd jenkins unit testing issues that we need to sort out. #3 got refreshed last night and is going through a second round of feedback. Note: Aaron has a branch that provides devstack support for #1 and #2, both OVS and LB: https://review.openstack.org/#/c/9161/ . We'll need someone to also add quantum DHCP support for devstack. I've already reached out to the devstack team about how we can get some quantum folks as devstack core reviewers, as that is becoming a bit of a bottleneck for us. We'll also need help documenting the use of the new v2 API. Aaron has started a wiki page for this, which he'll send out. Of course, all of this is not to say that we should ignore the other valueable work being done for F-2, just that it would be good to prioritize these items to make sure we enter F-3 will the ability to use the v2 API in a real setup.
