Salut a tout! This is the first time I write in the discussion list, so don't expect too much from me :D Some months ago I volunteered in an orphanage close to Rio de Janeiro. We collected old computers and build a computer classroom that attends around 25 children that live in this orphanage. It is a poor area with a clear colonial slavery heritage. The orphans live in a small community surrounded by rain forest that is 6 kilometers away from the closest broadband internet connection. The biggest challenge in the ICT project is to bring our children a more global education through internet connexion. Well... Would be amazing if someone could help with the implementation of a Wimax network and give the children some ideas about the possibilites of the information technologies.
