Indeed, yours is a quite correct definition.
Netsukuku will create a network on something that connects.

Instead, the duty to connect two or more machines over a medium is of
competence of someone else.
The medium could be a wire and the technology a network adapter.
The medium could be the light on free space and the technology FSO
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free-space_optical_communication - eg:
http://ronja.twibright.com)
The medium may be the radio waves and the technology 802.11b/g/n

In the case of 802.11 we have to cope with its pros and cons.
Improving on this has very little to do with a routing algorithm,
especially one that aims to scale up and wants to be independent from
the link layer implementation.

What I meant in my previous post was: be aware of the limitations of wi-fi.
We also could hope that future work on wi-fi technology will enhance
its efficiency.
