Hiya all! Hmm, I noticed a couple people have a freaknet email, Or a
dyne email. Is there any specific way to get this? I'm not sure if I
should or not, Though, I probably would as time went on if I knew how.
It seems interesting to me!
Also, I don't have a netsukuku wiki account, And, I noticed, I can't
seem to really make one. Does someone have to do this for me? I have
been doing a lot of testing, And I have read through most of the wiki.
I've noticed, Some of the english there isn't too good, And, Sometimes,
It talks about kinda trival things. Like, It'll talk about how netsukuku
lets you "give services" and where you can "share your connectivity.
These things, Whilst I understand them, Do sound kind of non-sensical.
It would be MUCH more effective if it said like. Enter Netsukuku:
You will have a network which cannot be censored!
You can share your internet connection throughout the network free of
charge! And use theirs if you'd like!
Using internet through netsukuku is MASSIVELY faster and more secure
than through an ISP!
You can register 256 domain names per node, For free! Without any
central entity!
All of this, And more, Is free!
Etc etc, It doesn't have to say that exactly, But really, What is
written there isn't very convincing as it is, And the way it describes
things doesn't really show how awesome they are. Like, It says the more
people that are connected, The better the network preforms.
This doesn't very well illustrate the fact that, Netsukuku is peer to
peer, Which means, Unlike the current internet, The network becomes
FASTER the more nodes that are connected! Your download and upload
speeds increase, Your domain registration is quicker, People can see
your website faster, Etc etc.
Anyway, I don't mean to critise who ever wrote it, I just think it could
be better. Although, I've noticed, A LOT of the links there do not work.
I would really like to fix this stuff, But I can't make an account. It
seems that was disabled for spam reasons? I think it should be
re-enabled, Even if it is just by moderator approval only.
I am very active, If I was made a moderator, I think I would be able to
manage it, Accepting sign up requests from good people, Banning
spammers, Etc.
