The fix is for R-Comp to ship a !System containing the module they want, and users use the SysMerge facility when installing. This is how shared modules are meant to be distributed and managed - this isn't our bug. 0.07 is only "unofficial" in that the original author no longer apparently has any interest in RISC OS to make releases so somebody else has taken over maintainership and is using language that avoids any toe-stepping. To repeat, R-Comp's bug, us bodging around it doesn't fix the issue which may happen with other applications too. It's resolved by them fixing their software. (I note that SocketWatch is GPLed? It is probably sticky for R-Comp to be distributing that bundled anyway unless they're including a written offer or its source as part of Hermes et al.) B.
