Hi, some people proposed me alternative icons for NS under Haiku, which uses its own vector format, HVIF <http://www.haiku-os.org/documents/dev/why_haiku_vector_icons_are_so_small>.
For now I just took the globe part of the converted SVG logo into Icon- O-Matic. But I was wondering how other devs would feel about using an alternate one, as some people have been insisting on our mailing list. I recall seeing there were guidelines about the GUI... Haiku itself has some guidelines for Icon design: http://factory.haiku-os.org/documentation/icon_guidelines/ One of the proposed icon is a rework of the official one, the other is a twist on the original NetPositive icon, which was a surfer with a globe, which fits more into the Haiku style but is radically different (surfing gone wild :). Here is one of the mails on our own list: http://www.freelists.org/post/haiku/NetSurf-icon See: http://revolf.free.fr/beos/shots/shot_NetSurf_Haiku_icons.png Comments ? François.
