A couple of obvious things missing from that list would be:

1) Helping with writing documentation (talk to Michael Drake first please)
2) Triaging bug reports (i.e. checking for duplicates and merging reports
as required) (Send mail to this list if you're interested -- as a minimum,
you'll need a sourceforge.net account and to get either myself or James to
poke the configuration to permit you to close bug reports)

Feel free to suggest anything else you think might be helpful -- the list
contains suggestions of things you could help with, not an exclusive list
of the only tasks we'll accept help with.

I seriously doubt it. All the active developers are in full-time
employment, thus NetSurf development is a spare-time activity.
Additionally, as soon as money comes into the equation, people begin to
think they should have some control over the way in which development goes.
It is for exactly this reason that we've only taken donations at shows on
the basis that the money raised is used to cover the costs we incur in
running the project (e.g. website hosting, show stand rental, and the cost
of travel to/from shows and user group meetings).

Speaking personally, it's my free time and I'll do what I like with it,
thus adding money into the equation becomes counterproductive :)

The groundwork for JavaScript was started last June. There's an extremely
long way to go yet, however.
