Invariably the site is using javascript to for the request for the next
page, and without javascript you get an empty page.
when I try and log into my ISP account control pages the initial login
page requests a username and password which I duly provide, but the log
in page also says

Apart from the cache which sees to be limited to 6.4 MB and I see cookie
files appear to saved, how do I know cookies are enabled or are they not
used yet in !Netsurf
Cookies are enabled in NetSurf and are working correctly, the problem is
again invariably the use of javscript to check for them.
The solution is to use a javascript enabled browser for the sites which
don't work with NetSurf.
