I don't often use James Bursa's Sargasso, so have only just discovered
this issue which seems to affect versions of NetSurf sometime after r7402
(06 May 2009 00:15).

Sargasso and Netsurf appear to produce incompatible RUfl_cache files. No
matter which app first produces the cache file, when the other one is run
it creates a new cache file, which can be tedious and time consuming.

I don't think it's a problem with a particular font, since it happens
even when I have removed all fonts apart from ROM fonts and NetSurf's
NSSymbol.

NetSurf 2.1 exhibits this behaviour whilst version 2.0 does not.
Development version r7431 (07 May 2009 18:45) is affected but r7402 (06
May 2009 00:15) isn't.

Has anyone else experienced this?

!!BEWARE!! Using Alt-Break to try to interrupt font scanning when
starting Sargasso has twice caused a broken SysLog.Logs directory here.

I'm using RISC OS 5.14.

Evan.
