I would agree in this situation.

Correct. I changed my business bank earlier this year, as
the service had plummeted off a cliff face, after being
really excellent (to the extent that I made a number of
recommendations of the former bank). I still have a number
of personal accounts with them, which are not affected by
the issues with the business account.

I ran the old and new accounts in parallel for about three
months, until I had seen most of the direct debits working
of the new account.

Not that unlike the way some people apparently change their
marriage/life partners either.
;-))

And, at least for the moment, there is no sign of my having
to use a card reader to set up transactions, either with the
new bank, unlike the old one.
