Actually I noticed first on Netsurf and then tried XP Firefox. The
"visited link" feature is lacking on both. Tuesday's particular
search made me wish for the feature: I wanted to compare the many
various results, and it would have helped to know which ones i had
already looked at (especially after refining the search criteria).

I loaded up Netsurf 1.1 to check, and it seems Martin is right. I'm a

bit astonished, for I remember the feature in the past. So loaded up
good old Fresco -- and it does work there, on the same Google search.

Interestingly, I found a site where lots of Google Chrome users
complain the feature doesn't work for them either.

Now I'm curious: what mechanism is involved, and why is it difficult
for Netsurf? Is it perhaps that CSS lacks the feature and overrides
the earlier system which catered for visited links?
