Hi. Win modems are not built for dos. As some of the responses have said
you may be able to get some to work under a dos box in windows, but you
simply aren't working in the environment that this hardware expects. They
use windows to communicate with the rest of the hardware and software used
to connect to the phone line. These modems may never work for your needs;
you'll either need to get an external modem or get an internal modem that
works for other operating systems than windows.
