Subject: nettamer error messages

Dorothee:

Error 75 occurs whenever there is another program loaded but
either active or inactive ahead of Net-Tamer. This includes Windows
itself since opening a DOS box or a desktop shortcut in Windows is,
at bottom, little more than a "SHELL" process. I've experienced error
75 only in the web browser portion of Net-Tamer. So, I have no idea
why the error would occur outside of web browser functions. It
usually occurs when you try to access a web site/page and Net-Tamer
at first tries to load the site/page and then prematurely returns to
F2 Online status without displaying the site/page.

Most important of all: error 75 often indicates a critical error
that can cause damage to files stored on your PC. I'd suggest you run
SCANDISK (or CHKDSK if you don't have SCANDISK) to see if there was
damage and to fix such damage with the same software. You'll need to
run CHKDSK with the "/F' command line parameter if CHKDSK reports any
sort of error with lost or damaged file clusters when you run it the
first time. Again, use SCANDISK over CHKDSK if you have SCANDISK.
Anyone having DOS 6.xx or higher, or Windows, should have SCANDISK.

If you are experiencing the browser problem mentioned above,
you'll need to refrain from visiting the web pages where the problem
occurs. At present, the number of web sites/pages that evoke this
problem is growing.
