interesting question, John:

Never could play around with a Poqet but it's said to run with (some
breed of?) DOS - so ReRead could work perhaps. Did you or anyone try ?

As you can set screen width and number of rows to display, it should
be possible to adapt to the Poqet's screen measure; there could be
other problems with the Poqet-screen but ReRead strictly uses
BIOS and textmode of the standard in force since PC-XT times.

One remark - ReRead does not replace Nettamer's READER.exe, it's an
offline reader which is completely independent of N't; though it
happens to digest well both the mailbags Nettamer downloads and the
series of single-mail files[*] downloaded with Nt's little brother
Netmail_Pro, and produces the right "raw mail file" format for
send/reply mails via both of them.

Thus I would be curious to know if it runs on the Poqet - or why it
would crash, perhaps. <g>

[*] Some friendly ReRead user alerted me to the fact that some indexing
services for received mail file series (i.e. those numerous *.IN files
or *.txt you get with downloads through Mark Ressl's Netmail or
Colston's Netmail_Pro) is broken in the last revision of ReRead put up
at the www site (ReRead v4.02 is of Nov'00). And oops indeed, it does
only work well in the one mode of this functionality which I use too,
that is, creating a compound mail folder from these files and indexing
that mailbag. I promise to look into that soon.
