Subject: Whazzup and screen readers

Sam, Yes and no. The problem extends not only to screen readers but also
to the speech synthesizers one may be using. The more sophisticated
products allow you to add your own pronouncing dictionary, i.e., the
DoubleTalk synthesizer, and/or the WindowEyes version 4.1 screen reader
which uses the Eloquence software synthesizer. The more money you spend
and the more advanced into the Windows environment the more flexibility
you have and the headaches that go with it. Grin! I am being forced,
well, may be, kicking and screaming into the Windows environment.

Cordially,
