Hopefully not becoming like some lists which have degraded to announcements
only. That is a real danger, and there have been times when spammy "sorry for
cross-posting" announcements for
journals/conferences/events/exhibitions/festivals made nettime somewhat
annoying. Versus actual dialogue and the exchange of ideas.

annoucements you mentioned might be more push than pull messages and thus better
