Hello friends,
a few days ago a synchronous meeting of nettime members who are
interested in creating new nettime spaces took place. Some ideas were
discussed. The first results are:
- The mailing list is great since it supports debate.
- A journal is not really needed, since journals hardly support debates.
- Spaces for synchronous communication might be interesting, for instance:
# oral synchronous communication like a monthly nettime meeting
# face to face meetings at "host" events (like the ars electronica in
Linz)
# hybrid events
- It might be interesting to establish a group of facilitators who ...
# ... invite people to bring up their questions.
# ... invite people to suggest topics to discuss.
# ... support members to clarify their thoughts before posting to the
list.
The next meeting of the group will take place at 16.11.2023 (9:00 San
Francisco, 12:00 New York, 17:00 London, 18:00 Vienna, (17.11.2023 2:00
Tokyo 4:00 Canberra (sorry for that - please let me know if you live in
Asia or Australia and want to participate at a subsequent meeting)). Of
course all nettime members are cordially invited to join the meeting.
The meeting place is

See you there - and all the best!
