On 9 January 2004, UpStage was officially launched as a unique
artist-led platform for cyberformance - live, online performance. The
platform and its global community of artists, developers and audiences
has thrived, survived and playfully persisted for 20 years!
During 2024 we will celebrate this important milestone, beginning with a
birthday party on*9th January*. As UpStage has always existed in between
time, the birthday party will happen twice, first at *20:00 Aotearoa/New
Zealand time*- as this is where UpStage was born - and then at *20:00
