Hi David,

Reading the thread which you apparently started provides an occasion to say a
friendly hello & to wish you well!

And I unsurprisingly agree with everything you wrote in that starting episode.

Myself I have been moving out of the discussion, as you may have noticed, but I
remain interested. More and more my interest go to 'my village' (Fiesole/FI)
which provides an escape from world politics tho it does not prevent it being
subjectde to the same forces that shape it, as shown by the last local
elections, where the local list was, after 10 years, swamped away Trump style
by the candidates of the national labourite party, bent on re-mainstreaming the
place. It stays left, but a different sort of left. One that aims to make
Fiesole European Cultural Capital of Europe in 2028, vs the previous one that
cared about our local bus line #7 going to the station instead of forcing
people to use two unreliable connections instead of one.

Ciao Ciao, pass by one day - but not the coming two and half months: I'll be in
Malaysia! & The whole of February in Amsterdam, looking after 4 cats! & maybe
London after that (at Lisa's)

p+7D!&H!
