To Cade's list of examples of the brittleness of these systems we could add the recent hack of big players in the UK retail and supermarket space who event weeks later are still struggling with empty supermarket shelves and data theft. Even though the impact is limited, given how critical supermarkets are for food security is, the impact points to a significant vulnerability.
