The broadcast is part of the Välillä Väärässä project, a collaboration between Aalto University, Department of Art and Media, and the Imatra Municipality. Broadcast Program 3pm Discussion with the rAt research group <https://www.aalto.fi/en/department-of-art-and-media/transdisciplinary-research-across-art-science-technology-rat> (Aalto University)on the perceived space. 4pm Interview with the Mansikkala art center <https://tapahtumat.imatra.fi/fi-FI/page/6645cef5b2a07e06cf58d218/kulttuuripaja-mansikka> on the lived space. 5pm Interview with Kalle Pakarinen, historian of the Imatra museum, on the conceptualised space. The broadcast features field recording work by Ricardo Atienza. This work is Gregoire Rousseau’s doctoral artistic component. Radio is both an artistic practice, a means of communication, and an infrastructure. The radio broadcast is open to the public, and intends to produce a space for alternative narratives on the city of Imatra in the symbolic Väärätalo building. The discussions will approach forms of social and spatial forms of reappropriation of the city after Alvar Aalto’s city plan.
