I am not keen on using this adjective but this is truly AWESOME: the 
conservative German Feuilleton mobilizes Habermas against European cyber-Neelie 
(Kroes, that is). True, Schirrmacher (the author and editor of the FAZ) being 
who he is has put on the comforting Dr. Doom coat of cultural pessimism yet I 
think it is high time someone raises their voice against the infantile twitter 
(no pun intended) of this particularly pathetic cyborg, who, I believe, is also 
responsible for creative industries policy in Europe (now subsumed under the 
so-called 'digital agenda’). In reaction to Kroes’ hilarious wristband vid, the 
paper in question is publishing an entire series of articles analyzing the 
‘digital revolution' (Galison, Mirowski, Habermas). 

I know, this might be weak intellectual rage against the machine but it is 
welcome nonetheless. Sorry, can’t translate now, perhaps someone else would 
like to…
