Re the proposition about if platforms like Secure Drop may make Wikileaks type
of political action irrelevant, it is important to note the problems of the
politicas of the 'free press'! mean it wasn't only the issue of security,
right? there have been many cases where important leaks already being handed to
the mainstream media outlets, and journalists working for them yet being
ignored politically. What made Wikileaks impact possible was and is its
autonomy from the power structures and elite networks the free press is
embedded!
May be FlosPress would be the think that can make Wikileaks kind of action and
organisation less fragile hence decrease the political burden that Assange,
Manning's and others have had to shoulder.
