Bitcoin meetups have a deep religious component, and attendees are
unphased by the reality of mathematics, politics, or even basic
sociology. I have seen a slide presentation that contained this:
Slide 1:
Top: bunch of people figures
Middle: nothing
Bottom: a government building
Transitions to Slide 2:
Top: bunch of people figures
Middle: capitalized letters BLOCKCHAIN
Bottom: a government building
The narrative was that the BLOCKCHAIN will solve this. Somehow. What
'this' is was left unclear. No challenging from the audience.
