Ari - you think feminism, anti-racism, etc is narcissism? Please say so directly. "Identity" is such an antiseptic term. White victim identity politics is indeed pretty narcissistic and it sure has the upper hand right now in the network culture that's been built by capitalism. That's because capital can always buy eyeballs, by hook or by crook. There's no room to entertain noxious, dishonest notions like "I don't know which side to take at Charlottesville." Nor is it worth the time to exhaustively refute every gish-gallop sputum. BUT the performative act of calling out fascism is worth doing. These little list battles are just rehearsals. You can't win an argument with a bad-faith actor, but you can expose their bad faith and be done with them. I don't want women, LGBTQIA2S+ POC on this list to run away thinking this is some kind of GAB wannabe listserv. White men like Alex Jones narcissistically cry victim when the public has had enough of their dangerous nonsense. As if his ridiculous lies are so valuable that all other appeals to decency should be silenced for his sake, and the people that he badgers into hiding have no right to public space. And true to Jones' narcissism, when someone like Jim Acosta gets cut out of his press job for calling out fascist lies, Alex Jones is quick to doctor a video to show HIM guilty. The cries for freedom of speech only apply to oneself and ones friends. It's not a coincidence that Putin's uber-alt-right power plays have resonated heavily with Republicans, kkk'ers, etc: right-wing white men continue to rule the airwaves and the underwaves. Even nation-state election-spending laws fumble in the cyber world of dark money, always skewing white male. As for cops in heaven, there's plenty of real cops here on earth and they tend to be men, and they tend to shoot black men in higher proportion than others. Maybe you think shooting narcissists is preferably to ejecting fascist trolls?
