Given the last three (especially 3) , i dont see how we can reconcile
to a different stance on 1.
A simple solution would be to make a position paper on software patents.
Once that is done, each member (individual or organisation) can decide
whether to support and sign it or not. In any case any representations
will be done by individuals, and those who are opposed to the position
paper need not volunteer for any interactions that may arise.
If that's generally acceptable we can postpone agreement on a CMP
indefinitely.
