The audio stack is a real pain with jackd, pulseaudio, and several other backends, each having their own set of complex setups. Especially when dealing with 2.0,2.1, 5.0,5.1,6.1,7.1,8.1 audio streams On the upside: works with all media including wma (with codec updates) supposed to Work out of the box with the RME1010 cards This distro is essentially for experienced linuxers to build a pro multimedia box for their musician friends, not for cash strapped schools -- Rgds JTD _______________________________________________ network mailing list [email protected] http://lists.fosscom.in/listinfo.cgi/network-fosscom.in
