Dear JTDSorry for sounding like a stuck record, can I request if you could write to the authorities using a FOSSCOMM template. Many times people are simply not aware of FOSS or FOSS options. A letter will make them think and even if not this time, next time they would hesitate before going proprietary way.
I have made an initial draft that could be modified as required and used for this purpose. In this specific case, we can also warn of the security implications of using proprietary software and that open source should be mandated wherever there are security implications.
