German government warns against using MS Explorer
Thomas Baumgaertner, a spokesman for Microsoft in Germany, said
that while they were aware of the warning, they did not agree with
it, saying that the attacks on Google were by "highly motivated
people with a very specific agenda". "These were not attacks
against general users or consumers," said Mr Baumgaertner. "There
is no threat to the general user, consequently we do not support
this warning," he added.
With characters like Thomas Baumgaertner running M$, users are already
in the deep end of the cesspool.
Microsoft says the security hole can be shut by setting the
browser's security zone to "high", although this limits
Setting the security zone to high or maximum makes no difference.
Fix development
However, this is no easy task.
BTW Cross site scripting vulnerability (XSS) on xploder was discovered
in 97.
Microsoft said that while all versions of
Internet Explorer were affected, the risk was lower with more
recent releases of its browser.
Ha HA. Same vulnerability lower risk. Infact there is another newly
discovered hole on the newer browsers, and the discoverer has not
published it so far, to give the bozos at M$ time to fix it.
Why has microsoft with all its power not taken the responsibility of
settling down issues like "virus" when the answer was already available
in Unix?
Well, we all know this and I think it is pointless to even discuss how
"high" or "low" the risks are.
We know how and why M$ does all this and the fact that they are *well
aware of what they are doing*.
And btw a link with a brief synopsis would have been good enough.
What ever, lets not even waist time analysing all this.
People keep ranting me for this but I will keep repeating what I say,
"the tactics m$ and organisations alike use is nothing more than digital
terrorism "
Happy hacking.
