Recently the Department Of Technical Education, Karnataka has floated
a bid for 750 computers, and has specified MS Office in the tender
document. ITfC has written to the Director asking that the department
not specify a proprietary sw brand in its bid and should prefer FOSS.
Can I request if other FOSSCOMM members too could write to the
Director or share their endorsement of this letter. It would be great
if we could send this letter from FOSSCOMM.
