As you know, it's time for filing of income tax returns and our Income Tax
department has provided MS Excel spreadsheets on their website,
http://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in
Last year, I with support of my company, DeepRoot Linux, migrated the ITR form1
for income from salary/pension and put it up at http://freedom-matters.in ,
thereby making it possible for OpenOffice.org users to file IT returns online.
However, the migrated spreadsheet is not suitable for use this year due to
changes to the spreadsheet on the above website.
I'd like to know how many people tried out the spreadsheet and any feedback
users may have, given the considerable efforts required for this task and hence
the cost involved in repeating the work this year.
