If there actually hasn't been any due process before adding these names, I'd suggest deleting all of them and starting the process. Give it, say, a week and if no consensus has been reached by then, we could consider the next step. If this process causes too much controversy, my suggestion would be to delete the page altogether. If you have a better approach, please suggest it.
