Hi,
     what you are trying is commendable , but there is no apple to
apple comparisons , i do not want to get into the softwares per se since
this has been discussed  time immemorial on so many forums across the world
. my suggestion would be instead of talking about prodcuts  we need to
highlight the accelerated teaching and learning abilities using FOSS , but
that brings back to the basic question of how the students are going to get
placed if they are using these softwares which are not adopted by industry
at large , so the answer could be learning of concepts is more important
than one particular product , which our educated masses are smart enough to
adapt in longer run so the focus should be on the point of learning learning
learning ... and hey all educated fellows need not be learned.
