I think we should not be looking for FOSS "equivalents" for proprietary software. The Unix philosophy itself is different, and different developers would naturally think differently. So, I guess, we should look for tools to do different activities than for "equivalents". I suggest some applications that may serve a similar purpose to what is listed: > 1. E-spice As far as I know, SPICE is distributed for *nix platforms under a BSD licence. If you mean the simulation software for integrated circuits, this is probably what you are looking for. > 1.
