nokia is in dire straits and in a very desperate situation. when it comes to the mobile platform, the same is true for microsoft. this tie up will give a whole new-generation feel to the blue screen of death experience the world has come to love and relish, and was sorely missing on devices that generally just tend to work. consumers have their wallets with which to support or defy this offering. after all, neither microsoft nor nokia, nor the two combined, are in a monopoly-situation where people *have* to buy their products or have it bundled on any handset they buy. it is always very interesting to see microsoft trying to play in markets where it has no monopoly advantage or unfair advantage. to their credit, they've only won in the xbox market and in their hardware peripherals market. in almost all other cases they've usually failed miserably. let's hope for this deal, nokia becomes the next zune. also, were it to fail, will nokia learn and tie up with android? too early to tell. regards n _______________________________________________ network mailing list [email protected] http://lists.fosscom.in/listinfo.cgi/network-fosscom.in
